Foreign trade and economic cooperation
have always been significant parts consisting the operational
strategy of Xiangyu Group.
 The
business scope of Xiangyu Group mainly includes import &
export and agency services for such commodities as grain and
oil, foodstuff, chemical products, light industrial products,
arts and crafts, farm products, textile, medical and health
products, metal and mining products, machinery and electronic
products, and instruments and apparatus of all kinds. In addition,
the Group is also engaged in barter trade, transshipment trade
and compensation trade. As one of the major foreign trading
corporations in Xiamen, the Group is put on the list of state-owned
trading entities and is one of designated operational entity
published by the MOFTEC after China's entry into the WTO.
Pursuing the philosophy of "steady and healthy operation,
running the company with integrity and law-abiding spirit",
and making full use of its brand and human resources strengths,
Xiangyu Group has extended its trading network steadily from
Xiamen, Fujian to the Eastern and Southern China, forming a
huge customer base in and out of the country. The Group recorded
marked growth in trade volume for several consecutive years,
and enjoys quite a large portion in the market, particularly
with regard to some organic chemical commodities  such
as general plastic raw materials and polyurethane, as well as
some staple commodities as fish power, stone blocks and steel.
In the market of a few particular commodities, the Group has
emerged to become a major player in the country.
In 2001, Xiangyu Group ranked the 432nd place among the Top
500 foreign trade firms in China.
